Kristin Knowles

Kristin Knowles grew up in Orleans and is a devoted Cape Cod year-rounder with a B.S.(!) in Communications from Boston University . After a brief and unfulfilling foray into the scintillating world of corporate restaurant management followed by a crash-course basement stint in advertising graphics and copywriting, she packed up her sensible business attire in a Glad bag for Goodwill and decided to play in the mud. Since then she has become an award-winning performance poet, aspiring potter, international traveler, political activist, ambitious thrift shopper, and tolerable wife and mother. She self-published a book of poetry entitled “Waitress: Adventures in Poetry” in 1997 and is currently working on the sequel, “Waitress: The Swimsuit Issue”.
