This site is created so that you won’t have to stand alone. Hopefully, you find empowerment by reaching out to others who share the same experience and unite together to boycott and create change. Unite With Me was created to help establish better business practice from our government, food industry, and big business. These establishments only exist because of us it is time that we demand the best for ourselves, our children and the future generation.
I ask for you to Unite With Me.

The mission of the Alliance for Democracy is to free all people from corporate domination of politics, economics, the environment, culture and information; to establish true democracy; and to create a just society with a sustainable, equitable economy. The Alliance is a chapter-based organization that brings people together to build a progressive populist movement to end the corporate domination of our economy, our government, our culture, our media and the environment. It is time to end corporate rule.

It’s Our Economy seeks to educate, organize and mobilize Americans to shift the power from concentrated capital to the people. We work to create an economy that is democratized, where people have greater control over their economic lives and greater influence over the direction of the economy. A critical ingredient for creating a real democracy where the people’s voices are heard requires creating a democratized economy in which people have more influence, crony capitalism that created the wealth divide is ended and the necessities of Americans are met.  We seek to empower Americans to organize an uncompromising independent movement that takes power from the economic elites and redistributes it to the people.

The Democracy Convention is a project of Liberty Tree. Liberty Tree is uniquely committed to building a new democracy movement for the U.S.A.. We provide vital support to grassroots campaigns for democratic reform in many areas of American life, and bring those campaigns together to form a united movement for democracy.

Move to Amend is a coalition of hundreds of organizations and tens of thousands of individuals committed to social and economic justice, ending corporate rule, and building a vibrant democracy that is genuinely accountable to the people, not corporate interests.

We are calling for an amendment to the US Constitution to unequivocally state that inalienable rights belong to human beings only, and that money is not a form of protected free speech under the First Amendment and can be regulated in political campaigns.

The Participatory Budgeting Project (PBP) is a non-profit organization that helps communities decide how to spend public money, primarily in the US and Canada.

Our mission is to empower community members to make informed, democratic, and fair decisions about public spending and revenue. We pursue this goal by working with governments and organizations to develop participatory budgeting processes, in which local people directly decide how to spend part of a public budget.

The Progressive is a monthly leftwing magazine of investigative reporting, political commentary, cultural coverage, activism, interviews, poetry, and humor. Its bedrock values are nonviolence and freedom of speech.

The Public Banking Institute (PBI) is a non-partisan think-tank, research and advisory organization dedicated to exploring and disseminating information on the potential utility of publicly-owned banks, and to facilitate their implementation. The group shares a concern over the destabilizing actions of a private banking industry that, through its corporate business model, has precipitated the economic imbalances now witnessed across the US economy.

Democracy Unlimited of Humboldt County (DUHC) educates citizens about the illegitimate seizure of our authority to govern ourselves. We design and implement grassroots strategies that exercise democratic power over corporations and governments. We seek to create a truly democratic society by provoking a non-violent popular uprising against corporate rule in Humboldt County that can serve as a model for other communities across the United States.

Our mission is to engage low- to no-income communities of color to end violence against women folks, gender non-conforming folks, and young folks, which bring about deep social, political, cultural, and economic change.  We organize around the root causes of violence, creating new definitions and solutions, and empowering all community members as agents of change to inspire and restore power of those most affected.   We do this through leadership development and community organizing, in ways that are language-gender-generation and culture-specific to women, gender non-conforming, and youth, in African American and Southeast Asian families.

We at PeopleForANewSociety are like so many others, looking for real change and a path to get it. But what's left for us to do? After we've tried 'yes we can' and get 'no you can't' ...after voting for the 'lesser of two evils'& get the lesser evil but no solutions, is it hopeless? Unless we look at alternatives to profit and competition and the way industry & society is run today--from 'above' to benefit a few- it is hopeless! We need to look at the entire economic & civic model and find a way to change it. But how? First we must recognize the present system is unworkable. Only a new paradigm, a new framework will permit us to think and act in ways that can actually protect the environment, let us live in peace, care for our families, be creative & fulfilled. And while this present 'corporate' system now seems overwhelmingly powerful, an even greater power will come when all of us work to replace it with what we know will be better: democracy where we live and where we work. It can be done and we have a strategy that can take us from where we are, to where we want to go.

It is an awakening of Wisconsinites independent of --but not exclusive of-- whatever other political, union, faith, or organizational affiliations we each might have.To the giant corporate interests that currently dominate our state, we say that we will not stand by and watch you destroy Wisconsin’s democracy, Wisconsin’s economy, Wisconsin’s schools, and Wisconsin’s communities. We will not pay for your crisis. We will organize. We will march. We will non-violently resist your policies and overcome your agenda. To our fellow Wisconsinites we say simply, “join us.” Join the Wisconsin Wave of resistance against corporatization and austerity, and for democracy and shared prosperity for all.

The Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice (WNPJ) was founded in 1991 as a coalition of activist groups and citizens of conscience within Wisconsin.

The Coffee Party is a democracy movement that began on Facebook, powered by volunteers and small donations from every-day Americans; not by oil barons, corporate lobbyists, or partisan think tanks.  Thus, we are able to advocate for the interests of the American people without having our objectives, and the notions on which they are based, governed by powerful interests that already have too much influence in Washington.

We are a non-partisan, fact-based, solutions-oriented network determined to have an impact in our nation's deliberative process.  If we abandon our civic duty to multi-national corporations and the ruling elite, the interests of our nation as a whole will be neglected.  Recognizing that many Americans are searching for a way to participate in our political process without adhering to any partisan or ideological framework, our aim is to provide a gathering place and a method for those who might not otherwise have a voice in our democracy.  These are the voices we value most.

Kansas City Move to Amend is a nonpartisan association of Americans who were moved to take action against the Supreme Court's disastrous ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission Corporations may now spend unlimited amounts of their vast resources to campaign for or against candidates running for office. The threat to our democracy is real. We, of KC Move To Amend, aspire to amend the US Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.

eKC online is Kansas City’s first online “only” news and entertainment publication with features and commentary from established journalists and writers, many of which have received local and regional awards.

From September 2001 to February 2004, eKC existed both in print and online. The decision to publish only online was made for three main reasons: the increased number of people visiting us online and comments from those readers that reading eKC online was sometimes easier than finding a print copy and also, as an independent publisher, we want to survive in these tough economic times.

The Raging Grannies of Madison began as a project of the Madison chapter of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), first singing to the crowds of Madison WI anti-war protesters in the fall of 2003. Membership is open to all older women who know that "war is stupid" and that for the sake of our children and grandchildren we must sing out for peace, economic & social justice and the environment. We sing primarily in the Madison area, but the Grannies "have songs, will travel" anywhere in the state. We sing wherever we are invited -- and sometimes where we're not! (We've sung about single payer health care at the offices of our members of Congress, at a military recruiting event at a local high school, and show up regularly at the Farmer's Market on the Capitol Square.)

Madison-area Urban Ministry (MUM) has worked for social justice for over three decades. MUM is an interfaith coalition of congregations and individuals of all beliefs. The organization began as an experimental urban ministry in 1970, a collaboration of the United Church of Christ (UCC), Church Women United, and a neighborhood association formed to provide programs and services on Madison’s near Eastside. Today MUM links over 100 diverse faith communities and many individuals throughout Dane County. MUM’s mission is to stand with the poor and hurting, neighbors working together for social change.

Our aim is to bring together all those who recognize the importance of safeguarding and extending the rights of workers, women, farmers, people with disabilities and people of color, upon whom the welfare of the entire nation depends; who seek actively to eliminate racism; who work to maintain and protect our civil rights and liberties in the face of persistent attacks upon them; and who look upon the law as an instrument for the protection of the people, rather than for their repression.

The National Lawyers Guild is an association dedicated to the need for basic change in the structure of our political and economic system. We seek to unite the lawyers, law students, legal workers and jailhouse lawyers of America in an organization that shall function as an effective political and social force in the service of the people, to the end that human rights shall be regarded as more sacred than property interests.

These events bring together leading facilitators and thinkers in the areas of conflict resolution, psychology, sociology, political science, economics, politics, history, philosophy, religion, gender studies, and the arts and sciences. The ultimate goal is to make peacebuilding available to everyone ---- through education, media support, and community workshops.

Progressive Democrats of America was founded in 2004 to transform the Democratic Party and our country. We seek to build a party and government controlled by citizens, not corporate elites-with policies that serve the broad public interest, not just private interests. As a grassroots PAC operating inside the Democratic Party, and outside in movements for peace and justice, PDA played a key role in the stunning electoral victories of November 2006 and 2008. Our inside/outside strategy is guided by the belief that a lasting majority will require a revitalized Democratic Party built on firm progressive principles.

The mission of the Progressive Democrats of North Carolina is to promote economic, social, global and environmental justice, and peace and sustainability in North Carolina, and to work with the North Carolina Democratic Party to maximize the democratic process, to advocate for the days’ most pressing issues, and to serve as a voice of conscience.

South Central Wisconsin Move to Amend is a nonpartisan association of volunteers galvanized into action by the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission decision by the United States Supreme Court. We are alarmed by the threat to democracy posed by unrestricted corporate spending on local, state, and national election campaigns. In particular,we hold it as self-evident that corporations are not people, money is not speech, and therefore the regulation of corporate spending on elections is not an abridgement of First Amendment free speech rights.

South Valley Peace Center (SVPC) was founded in the run-up to the Iraq war.  In the summer of 2002 the Visalia Friends Meeting launched a project to put a billboard on Hwy 99 saying Stop the War.  (The Iraq war had not yet started, but it was clear that the Bush administration was laying the groundwork to invade Iraq.) During the same period of time a group of women representing WILPF started holding a vigil in Visalia on the corner of Mooney and Walnut.  Soon the numbers started to grow and become more diverse.  It soon became clear that the name without a group and the group without a name were a perfect match.  The South Valley Peace Center, as an actual organization, was born.

A blog dedicated to Life, Liberty, and pursuit of a less F**cked up government.

The plight of America's middle class over the last thirty years has been a story without a narrator.  Middle class Americans know something has happened, their financial circumstances have changed drastically, but have yet to hear a comprehensive explanation as to why there are fewer jobs, lower wages, increasing healthcare costs and the ability to just get by has become increasingly difficult.  After the recent economic crisis, middle class Americans have seen their communities plagued by foreclosures, lay-offs and outsourcing, while at the same time the nations largest banks and corporations are given bailouts and tax breaks. "The Class Slipper" offers the explanation Americans want, need and have been waiting for.  What has happened to America's Middle Class, how did this happen, who are the "Generals" in the war on the Middle Class and what can every American do to change the direction we are heading.  Taking the inform, engage and empower approach, "The Class Slipper" aims to be the movie that started a movement!

As a member of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, the WIPLF Triangle Branch, now in its 76th year, works to achieve through peaceful means world disarmament, full rights for women, racial and economic justice, an end to all forms of violence, and to establish those political, social, and psychological conditions which can assure peace, freedom, and justice for all. This remarkable vision still guides us today as we face the challenges of the twenty-first century.

Donnelly/Colt Progressive Resources is a small, family-owned and operated business that has provided progressive materials for consciousness raising and fundraising since 1975. It was just one of those ventures a newly formed couple ventured upon, after stints in college and various jobs. We, Kate Donnelly and Clay Colt, wanted to change the world to make it a more tolerant and peaceful place. We also wanted to stop waiting tables and cleaning 16mm films for a living. So we bought a proof press in San Francisco where we were living, drove 3,000 miles east, set it up and began hand setting wooden and metal type and printing bumperstickers – one at a time. This was a unique service nobody else was doing at the time. It was also incredibly labor-intensive. Three decades later, I'm not sure we have a more just and peaceful planet, but it's not for lack of trying. Our business has grown and waned and grown and waned as the progressive movements have.

Our evolving menu takes advantage of the great variety of local and organic ingredients raised by this region's farmers. The League of Revolutionaries for a New America is made up of people from all walks of life. We are tied together by a common aim – the end of exploitation, the public ownership of the means of production, and the distribution of the products of society according to need.

The League joins other revolutionaries who challenge the ruling class on the immorality of its ruthless devastation of the earth and life. We trace injustice to the capitalist system and seek to show how society’s problems can be solved when it is reorganized along cooperative lines.

The Middleton Action Team was formed to provide an organizational base in the Middleton area that supports liberal ideals and priorities.  To promote civic action, education and engagement on issues affecting our community, our region, our state, our nation and our world. Northern Sun got its start back in 1979, right before radiation started leaking from the Three Mile Island nuclear plant in Harrisburg, PA (March 28, 1979). Riding a bicycle and carrying a backpack full of t-shirts, etc., Scott (the owner) began selling message-oriented items at anti-nuke events.

We're a small group of individuals who work for a company that sells progressive, message-oriented t-shirts, button, stickers, etc. through a paper catalog and on our website. Northern Sun also does events, but these are mostly done by Scott, the owner.

Northern Sun donates to local community radio (kfai.org), the Midwest Renewable Energy Assoc (midwestrenew.org), the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti (ijdh.org), Women Against Military Madness (wamm.org), the Resource Center of the Americas (americas.org) and others.

People For the American Way is dedicated to making the promise of America real for every American: Equality. Freedom of speech. Freedom of religion. The right to seek justice in a court of law. The right to cast a vote that counts. The American Way.

Our vision is a vibrantly diverse democratic society in which everyone is treated equally under the law, given the freedom and opportunity to pursue their dreams, and encouraged to participate in our nation’s civic and political life. Our America respects diversity, nurtures creativity and combats hatred and bigotry.

We believe a society that reflects these constitutional principles and progressive values is worth fighting for, and we take seriously our responsibility to cultivate new generations of leaders and activists who will sustain these values for the life of this nation.

An economic system that doesn't feed, clothe and house its people must be and will be overturned and replaced with a system that meets the needs of the people. To that end, this paper is a tribune of those struggling to create such a new economic system. It is a vehicle to bring the movement together, to create a vision of a better world and a strategy to achieve it.

Celebrating 30 years of marriage and activism ~ Connie & Chuck Smalley

Remember eating at grandma's? We do. What about your first fish fry? We think of ours often. Imagine sitting around a northwoods campfire roasting marshmallows with friends. We completely understand.

When we founded The Old Fashioned in 2005, these were exactly the types of things we had in mind—every unique experience that makes Wisconsin so . . . Wisconsin. Maybe we're overstating the case, but we don’t think so. When you live here, these things become a part of you.

That's why we chose to highlight meats, cheeses, produce, and local specialties from small Wisconsin producers. It's why we drive over 100 miles to Seymour to pick up a shipment of their world-famous soda (and of course, take back our empties). It's why we don't mind a jaunt to Sheboygan for brats and hard rolls. And it's why it's commonplace to find Willi Lehner from Bleu Mont Dairy sitting down with a cheese plate featuring a selection of his craft. These things are all as much a part of the Wisconsin culinary tradition as an ice-cold PBR paired with a spicy pickled egg, or Reuf's Meat Market landjaeger sausages.

Tuvalu is a family owned and run Coffeehouse and Art Gallery with a commitment to fair trade and environmental awareness. We aspire to provide the highest quality product using the freshest and best possible ingredients in a manner that promotes sound environmental practices and encourages social awareness and responsibility.

United Wisconsin is non-partisan grassroots organization including 185,000+ concerned citizens who have signed the pledge to recall Walker and a growing base of volunteers across the state.

We are Wisconsin business people committed to the idea that the purpose of business is to create value, provide opportunities, and serve our communities. Past generations of Wisconsin business leaders invested in an economic model that valued the contributions of workers, cared for working families, and was concerned about human health. Our current generation of business leaders has emphasized concepts of ecological sustainability, clean technology, and fair trade pricing. Yet today Wisconsin faces efforts to take our economy in the opposite direction. Some who claim to speak for Wisconsin business are working to dismantle public services, undermine public schools and colleges, block ecological technologies, and ending a century of labor peace. These attacks --on the ability of regular people to pay their bills, receive quality housing and health care, get to work, obtain education and childcare, and enjoy a high quality of life-- not only hurt our friends, families, and neighbors, but also threaten Wisconsin's business climate.

As of April 1st, we are now accepting sponsorships of the Democracy Convention. To read about the sponsorship levels, and to sponsor the convention, click here. Please help us make this first Democracy Convention the kind of unifying and energizing gathering that inspires the U.S. democracy movement to rush forward!

A New Way Forward is a public platform to transform politics and the economy for the public good, made up of regular people and has no astroturf support of any sort. Our mission is to end the dominance of corporate interests in this country so that there may be opportunity and shared prosperity for everyone, including the existence of a vibrant public discourse everywhere - we have made a loud call to break up the biggest banking powers and to never let them get so big again they can take over our politics and economy. ANWF is made up of the regular Americans who have come together to bring about structural reform of the financial industry and end the distortion of the political process by our largest corporations.

Americans for Healthcare is a nonpartisan association of Americans who consider access to health care a human right. We formed to bring together people interested in helping persuade Congress to institute a system of universal health care.

The Executive Board of AFH recognizes that our health care system remains broken because Congress is broken. The "reform"enacted in 2010 amounts to a bailout of a medical insurance industry whose product is so expensive that it required a massive infusion of tax dollars to stay afloat.

In a true democracy, the interests of the People would come before those of corporations. Accordingly, the Board voted on September 29 to endorse Move to Amend.

These programs train people how to make "small changes" in their thoughts, words, and actions to make "being the compassion we want to see in the world" as their #1 priority. See our website at www.small-change.org for complete information on our mission and activities.

An ad hoc group of residents of Tioga County New York coming together with the goal of preserving the rural character of the county, its small villages, focus on small scale agriculture and locally based businesses.

We also work in coordination with Tioga Peace and Justice, some of the members of which are also members of CCTC. The same is also true of our coordination with New York Residents against Drilling (NYRAD).

CCTC engages in planning for public educational events we put on as well as tabling at festivals like the Strawberry Festival. We have also put on a candidates' forum and a screening of Gasland. CCTC at the moment has no formal leadership structure.

We meet twice a month at a small woman owned business in the village of Owego. CCTC has a FaceBook site.

We are a local casual dining restaurant that provides a healthy alternative to fast food.

The club, established in 1952, is open to all registered Democrats. The monthly meetings, which usually take place on the second Wednesday of the month, vary in their focus. Some meetings are concerned with issues specific to Culver City. Other meetings take up issues of statewide, national or even international interest.

Our club has various active committees in which you can participate to help support Democratic values and get our Democratic candidates elected.

On December 13, 2008, a group of concerned neighbors met to answer then elect-President Barack Obama's call for community input. We saw ourselves as a think tank, thoroughly researching national issues to address our economic, health, education, and energy concerns in our neighborhoods. We believe that we have a voice and one person can make a difference. We became a movement to encourage others to not look for quick fixes but to stand against smooth soundbites, seductive rhetoric, and special interest lobbying and to pursue a better quality of life.

After carefully reviewing all the issues, we realized that:

  • until election power is returned to the US American people and
  • until we elect skilled and highly qualified legislators that are answerable to all their constituents' needs and are committed to our quality of life as much as their own

reform in any area will not happen.

So us RADicals decided to Reclaim our American Dream by working for human rights, democracy, equal opportunity, and economic justice for all families in the USA.

We are starting with election reform first because without securing accountable legislators, we cannot hope to effect the reform needed in other areas. We are calling all Americans to citizenship, the honorable duties and responsibilities that come with being a citizen member of the USA. Let's take back our elections!

Sustainable Living Systems is a non-profit organization that was formed to demonstrate and teach a way of living where our impact (or footprint) on the Earth's ecosystems is minimized.  Our understanding of the forces of corporate globalization has led us to focus on the most pertinent action that we can take to counter those forces....thus, our primary focus is to build a Local Food System here where we live.

We are an online store selling compassionate pest control products. Our approach is to save animal and insect lives by removing or repelling, rather than by killing. Our products are safe and effective.

Americans are slowly but surely losing their voice. Corporations are buying their way through Congress, and with the virtual alliance between big business and the media, there may be no way to stop this juggernaut until we all join hands, acknowledge our common concerns, and make one giant fist standing up to the corporate takeover of our government. No less than the democratic principals we cherish are at stake.

It is time for us to reflect on the root causes of our common concerns. This is the focus and intention of the People’s Congress. Here and now, organizations, individuals, children, grandmothers, teachers, nurses, environmentalists, soldiers, the working poor, and the jobless are coming together to express their desire for a return to a truly representational form of government.

We the People are coming together here, now, to express our desire for a more just society. And it is not only those goals which we seek to fulfill, but more specifically, a reform of the laws and abuses which foster the criminal takeover of our banking system, the endless barrage of propaganda by the media, the notion that war is an endless condition which needs to be fed by tax dollars which could otherwise be used for building community and truly protecting our future. We seek a restoration of our electoral system, and finally demand transparency return to Government.

Tioga Peace and Justice is group based in Tioga County, NY which gathers to discuss, understand and take action related to issues of war, peace and justice.

The organizational structure is non-hierarchical.

We are an informal membership union. We attempt to define progressive policy and urge people to join our union as a means of building a true progressive constituency and agenda without being watered down by political expediency. We have a progressive platform much like a party platform which defines our positions on a number of focus issues which are a matter of public debate.

In recognition of the fact that a universal system of health care will never be created in the US while corporations are allowed to dictate law and policy to Congress, Vermont for Single Payer hereby endorses Move to Amend.

Who We Are...

Vermont for Single Payer is the primary campaign of Vermont Health Care For All (VTHCA) and is overseen by the Board of that organization.

VTHCA, a Vermont non-profit corporation (501(c)(3), was established in 2003 with the purpose of educating the public about the advantages of a universal publically financed health care system for Vermont.

In recognition of the fact that war can only be ended by undermining the basis of corporate control of the US government, VFP adopted the following resolution at convention in August of 2011:

Resolution 2011-3 Abolition Of Corporate Personhood

Whereas, government is created by consent of the governed, and

Whereas, corporations are created under law established by governments that are created to serve the people and corporations do not exist independent of these laws, they must be subject to laws and regulations designed to protect the public interest, and

Whereas, the regulation of these entities is the right of states who incorporate them and not the federal government beyond setting minimum standards of regulation, and

Whereas, the Supreme Court has granted corporations rights and privileges under the unjustified pretext that corporations are persons and citizens of the United States and through an overly broad interpretation of the Commerce Clause, and

Whereas, corporations are not people so cannot be considered persons;

Therefore Be It Resolved that Veterans for Peace calls for the passage of a Constitutional amendment that would substantially state the following:

Section 1. The rights and privileges granted to citizens of the United States as enumerated in this Constitution, its amendments, and extended through case law, are exclusively reserved for human beings.

Section 2. All non-biological entities in the United States shall be subject to the requirements of any and all laws enacted by the people and their elected governments.

Section 3. The minimum regulation of corporations by the states shall be that their charters will include banning direct or indirect funding of candidates for office and the requirement that the corporations operate in the public interest. Corporations will be liable for any and all costs and damages that their operations create to the government and the taxpayers who support it.

Veterans For Peace is a national organization founded in 1985. It is structured around a national office in Saint Louis, MO and comprised of members across the country organized in chapters or as at-large members. There is an annual convention each year attended by our members, families and supporters from across the nation. Members receive periodic VFP publications.

The organization includes men and women veterans of all eras and duty stations spanning the Spanish Civil War (1936-39), World War II, the Korean, Vietnam, Gulf and current Iraq wars as well as other conflicts.

Our collective experience tells us wars are easy to start and hard to stop and that those hurt are often the innocent. Thus, other means of problem solving are necessary.
